Job Description

Seeking an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to provide respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment. The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and proficiency with advanced respiratory procedures, oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and aerosol medication administration.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
• Active South Carolina Respiratory License required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Required Skills & Experience

• Adult Critical Care respiratory care
• Extubation and airway management
• Nasal and oral airway placement
• Suctioning and pulmonary hygiene
• Tracheostomy care and oxygen therapy
• Sputum specimen collection
• High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
• BiPAP and CPAP management
• Mechanical ventilation weaning and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
• Aerosol medication administration using masks, trach setups, MDI, Medihaler, nebulizers, T-piece, and trach collar systems

Medication Administration Experience

Candidates must be experienced administering:

• Albuterol
• Atrovent
• Combivent
• Flovent
• Inhaled steroids
• Pulmicort
• Racemic Epinephrine
• Spiriva
• Terbutaline Sulfate
• Tobramycin
• Xopenex
• Lidocaine
• Perforomist
