CT Technologist

Location: Muncie, Indiana
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced CT Technologist to support a high-volume imaging department within a Level III Trauma Center environment. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care and emergency imaging experience with the ability to perform a broad range of CT procedures independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures for inpatient and emergency department patients
  • Conduct a wide variety of CT studies including trauma and emergency imaging
  • Administer contrast and monitor patient responses
  • Ensure accurate patient positioning and image quality
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within PACS/EMR systems
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control standards

Requirements

  • ARRT (CT) Certification required
  • BLS Certification required
  • Experience with:
    • Inpatient imaging
    • Emergency Room imaging
    • Community hospital settings
    • Adult ICU patients
    • PACS systems
    • Contrast administration
    • Abdomen, Pelvis, Head/Neck, Chest, Spine, and Musculoskeletal CT imaging
    • Brain Perfusion studies
    • CT Angiography (CTA)
    • Multiplanar Reconstruction
  • Strong critical thinking and independent working ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Outpatient imaging experience
  • Trauma center experience
  • Teaching hospital experience
  • Pediatric/NICU/PICU experience
  • IV start and phlebotomy skills
  • Experience with biopsies, aspirations, drainage procedures, and myelography
  • Cerner experience preferred
