Location: Apple Valley, CA

Position Details

• Contract Length: 13 Weeks
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12 Hours
• Shift Hours: 11:00 AM – 11:30 PM
• Block Schedule Available (Thursday–Saturday Preferred)
• Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
• Free Parking Available
• EMR System: Epic

Compensation

• Travel Pay: $60 to $67/hour (including stipend, based on experience)

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in an acute care hospital setting in Apple Valley, California. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience in wound management, patient assessment, and interdisciplinary collaboration within a fast-paced healthcare environment.

This opportunity is ideal for nurses experienced in acute and chronic wound treatment, patient education, and individualized care planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with acute and chronic wounds
• Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
• Perform wound dressing changes and specialized wound care procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Educate patients and families on wound prevention and ongoing care
• Accurately document patient care and treatment plans in Epic EMR
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and hospital safety protocols
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care setting
• Support healing and recovery initiatives related to wound management

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based Wound Care RN experience required
• Wound Care Certification or WCON required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR highly preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical documentation, and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Candidates with 5+ years of experience are encouraged to apply for travel opportunities
