Location: Newark, New York
Shift: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel assignment in Newark, New York. This opportunity is ideal for respiratory therapists experienced in both acute care and long-term care settings who are comfortable managing a wide range of respiratory conditions and advanced respiratory support equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care respiratory skills, ventilator management experience, and the flexibility to float between facilities within the region as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care treatment and patient assessment across acute and long-term care settings
  • Perform respiratory therapy procedures and interventions
  • Manage and monitor ventilated patients
  • Assist with intubation and extubation procedures
  • Perform airway management and suctioning techniques
  • Administer respiratory medications and therapies
  • Conduct ABG sampling and interpret respiratory status
  • Monitor and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ventilators
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Float between regional facilities as operational needs require

Requirements

  • Active RRT Credential required
  • Active Respiratory Therapy License required
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
  • Epic charting proficiency required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Personal vehicle required for regional floating assignments
