Mammography Technologist

Location: Carmel, Indiana
Shift: Day Shift – 5x8-Hour Shifts
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for an outpatient imaging assignment in Carmel, Indiana. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented imaging professional with strong mammography experience and a passion for delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical imaging skills, excellent patient communication abilities, and experience with modern mammography systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammography procedures according to physician orders and imaging protocols
• Ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for mammography procedures
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records
• Operate mammography imaging systems and PACS technology efficiently
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and imaging department staff
• Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards
• Support workflow efficiency within a busy outpatient imaging department

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Mammography experience required
• Outpatient imaging experience required
• ARRT Certification required
• Current BLS Certification required
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Strong patient care and communication skills required

Required Experience & Skills

• Screening Mammography procedures
• Cerner documentation system experience
• Hologic Dimensions equipment experience

Preferred Experience

• Diagnostic Mammography
• Stereotactic Biopsies
• Digital Mammography
• PACS experience
