Job Title: Radiology / Ultrasound Technologist – Contract Assignment
Location: Hyannis, Massachusetts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights | 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist will utilize high-frequency sound waves to produce diagnostic ultrasound images and assist physicians in accurate medical diagnosis and treatment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients and ultrasound equipment for diagnostic procedures
  • Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on examination requirements
  • Obtain and review patient history and relevant clinical information
  • Position patients properly to obtain optimal diagnostic images
  • Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations
  • Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and accuracy
  • Maintain accurate imaging records and proper image labeling
  • Assist physicians during specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies
  • Coordinate workflow efficiently to maintain productivity and timely patient care
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and safety procedures
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
  • Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
  • Credentialed by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN through ARDMS
  • Current BLS Certification required
  • Strong communication and patient care skills
  • All certifications and registrations must remain active and current
