Schedule: Day Shift | 42.5 Hours per Week | 6 Weeks
Shift Timing: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM


Job Summary

A specialty outpatient cardiology and vascular diagnostics clinic in Dallas, Texas is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a short-term travel assignment with the potential for temp-to-perm conversion.

This role focuses on high-volume cardiac nuclear imaging, including nuclear stress testing and PET/CT cardiac stress studies. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment, delivering high-quality imaging while maintaining strict patient safety and radiation protocols.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including cardiac stress testing and PET/CT stress studies
  • Conduct approximately 8–10 nuclear stress tests per day
  • Perform an average of 5 PET/CT stress studies daily
  • Prepare, handle, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with safety standards
  • Operate nuclear imaging and PET/CT equipment while ensuring image quality and accuracy
  • Monitor patients throughout stress testing procedures to ensure safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with cardiologists and clinical staff during diagnostic evaluations
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of procedures and patient records
  • Follow all radiation safety, compliance, and regulatory guidelines
  • Perform routine equipment calibration checks and support maintenance workflows
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, preparation, and post-test expectations
  • Maintain efficient workflow in a high-volume outpatient diagnostic setting
  • Support day-to-day operations within the nuclear cardiology department

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • CNMT certification or ARRT (N) certification required upon hire
  • Minimum 1 year of recent nuclear medicine clinical experience (within the last 3 years)
  • Prior experience in nuclear cardiology or outpatient imaging settings
  • Ability to independently perform nuclear stress testing procedures
  • Strong understanding of nuclear imaging protocols and procedures
  • Experience with PET/CT stress imaging
  • Strong patient care, communication, and clinical judgment skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior cardiac nuclear medicine experience
  • Experience in outpatient specialty cardiology clinics
  • Familiarity with PET/CT imaging systems and workflows
  • Strong multitasking and workflow management abilities
  • Previous travel assignment experience
