Position Title: Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046
Employment Type: Travel / Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Summary:
Provide post-anesthesia nursing care for patients recovering from surgical procedures in an outpatient surgery center, ensuring patient stability, safety, and recovery in a high-acuity PACU setting.

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 2 years recent PACU experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification required
• Strong post-anesthesia and recovery care experience required
• Ability to work night shift schedule in surgical recovery setting
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia post-surgery
• Assess airway, breathing, circulation, and neurological status
• Manage pain control and post-operative symptoms
• Respond to post-anesthesia complications and emergencies
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
• Document patient recovery progress in EMR systems
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams
• Ensure patient safety and infection control standards
• Prepare patients for discharge or transfer as appropriate
