Contract Duration: 14 Weeks (Temp-to-Hire)

Schedule:

• Night Shift
• 3x11.5-Hour Shifts
• 07:30 PM – 08:00 AM
• 34.5 Hours per Week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment in a high-acuity maternal-child health setting. This role focuses on providing comprehensive care for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum stages.

The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child nursing experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum nursing care for laboring mothers and newborns
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized maternal-child care plans
• Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and patient monitoring
• Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and care teams
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Follow hospital safety standards and infection control protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience required
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience required
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required
• Active New York State RN License required
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP certification required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Ability to work in high-acuity Labor & Delivery environments
