Location: New York, NY

Contract Duration: Travel / Contract Assignment

Schedule:

  • Night Shift
  • Monday–Friday
  • 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a contract assignment within a leading health system in New York City. The technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, diagnostic accuracy, and compliance with radiation safety standards.

This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital radiology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures according to established protocols
  • Apply appropriate imaging techniques (kV, mA) for optimal diagnostic quality
  • Conduct daily equipment calibration and quality control checks
  • Administer contrast per physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures
  • Maintain accurate imaging records, logs, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards (ALARA principles)
  • Manage and retrieve patient imaging data for radiologist interpretation
  • Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance when required
  • Follow all hospital policies, safety regulations, and imaging guidelines

Requirements

  • Active New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.) required
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography and CT required
  • Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
  • Current BLS Certification (AHA) required
  • Certification to administer contrast required
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures and radiation safety practices
  • Ability to work in a high-volume clinical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and patient care focus
