Contract Duration: 8 Weeks

• Variable Night Shift
• 12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36/48 Hours Weekly
• Rotating Schedule with Every Other Weekend Required
• 33 Hours One Week / 44 Hours Following Week
• Overtime May Be Available
• 1 Hour Break Per Shift

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced and dependable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for an 8-week contract assignment in a Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing environment in Bismarck, ND.

This role is ideal for LPNs comfortable caring for residents with higher-acuity needs including tracheostomies, ventilators, tube feeds, wound care, and rehabilitation support. The facility provides flexible orientation and a supportive clinical environment.

Unit Details

• LTC and Skilled Nursing Units
• LTAC unit with trachs, vents, PEG tubes, and rehab patients
• Stable vent and trach residents
• Tube feed and wound care patients
• Medication Aides available for support
• Night Shift Ratio: Approximately 1:24 – 1:28
• Matrix Charting System utilized
• Units referred to as “Neighborhoods”

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to LTC and Skilled Nursing residents
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor and document resident conditions and responses to treatment
• Provide trach and vent care as needed
• Perform wound care and tube feed management
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and charting
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
• Support resident comfort, dignity, and quality care standards
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

Required Qualifications

• Active LPN License required
• Previous LTC or Skilled Nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable caring for trach, vent, tube feed, and wound care residents
• Ability to work rotating night schedules
• Must be willing to work every other weekend
• Strong communication and clinical skills
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
