Job Summary:
Provide in-person occupational therapy services in a school district, supporting students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills required for academic performance and daily school activities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy services to school-based students
• Evaluate students for fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents
• Participate in IEP meetings and progress reviews
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance reports
• Support handwriting, motor coordination, and daily living skills development
• Recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications
• Ensure compliance with school district and state requirements

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license required (in hand prior to start)
• Prior school-based OT experience required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Strong knowledge of IEP and special education processes
• Ability to work in-person (no remote option)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
• Comfortable working with pediatric populations
• Ability to manage caseload independently
