CT Scan Technologist (Night Shift)

Location: Edison, NJ 08818
Schedule: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Shift: Nights – 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM (Sunday–Thursday)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CT Scan Technologist to perform advanced computed tomography procedures and deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and collaboration with radiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and treatment in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex CT imaging procedures with precision and efficiency
• Review and document patient clinical history within PACS systems
• Prepare and verify contrast questionnaires; ensure accurate documentation in EPIC
• Administer contrast media as prescribed and monitor for any adverse reactions
• Verify imaging orders and collaborate with physicians to clarify or adjust as needed
• Coordinate exam authorizations and assist with necessary modifications
• Upload and manage external imaging studies into PACS
• Provide imaging copies to patients and referring providers as required
• Evaluate images to ensure quality, accuracy, and diagnostic value
• Prepare and position patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout procedures
• Perform venipuncture and maintain IV lines per established protocols
• Educate patients on procedures and address questions or concerns clearly
• Monitor patient condition during imaging procedures
• Maintain workflow efficiency in a high-volume, fast-paced environment (including Emergency Department settings)
• Adhere to all safety, regulatory, and organizational standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (5+ years preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiologic positioning
• Experience with EPIC EMR, Fuji PACS, and CT imaging equipment
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume clinical setting
• Excellent communication, patient care, and problem-solving skills

Certifications & Licensure

• ARRT Certified R.T. (R) – Required
• New Jersey DEP Diagnostic Radiography License – Required
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) – Required within 3 months of hire
• ARRT (CT) Certification – Required within 12 months of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior CT experience in a hospital or emergency department setting
• Familiarity with EPIC and other HIS/RIS systems
