Location: New York, NY 10037
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Contract Duration: 14 Weeks
Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate:

  • Local: Upto $3,440 Weekly
  • Travel: Upto $4,100 Weekly

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) – Behavioral Health to provide leadership and oversight across CPEP, inpatient, and outpatient behavioral health services. This role is responsible for enhancing patient care quality, improving staff performance, and ensuring compliance with established clinical and regulatory standards.

The ADON will work closely with nurse managers and interdisciplinary teams to evaluate unit performance, implement improvement initiatives, and support corrective action planning where necessary. The role also includes development and oversight of systems for tracking medication errors and counseling documentation to support quality and safety outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to improve patient care quality and staff performance
  • Monitor clinical operations and evaluate unit-level performance metrics
  • Collaborate with nurse managers to identify gaps and implement improvement strategies
  • Support and execute corrective action plans when required
  • Design and maintain systems for tracking medication errors and counseling documentation
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, hospital policies, and best practices
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of nursing experience
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Strong background in psychiatric or behavioral health nursing
  • Demonstrated experience in performance monitoring and staff development
  • Proven ability to implement corrective action plans effectively

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution

Preferred Education

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Required Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (New York State)
  • NYSED Primary Source Verification of RN License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
