Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 7.5-hour shifts | 37.5 hours/week
• Monday – Friday

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nurse Supervisor for a contract opportunity within a hospital-based Behavioral Health department in New York, NY. This role requires a strong leader with hands-on experience across Behavioral Health settings, including emergency psychiatry, inpatient, and outpatient services.

The Nurse Supervisor will oversee clinical operations, support staff performance, and drive quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop programs to enhance patient care and staff performance
• Monitor and evaluate clinical performance across Behavioral Health units
• Collaborate with Nurse Managers on operations, staffing, and performance improvement
• Support and implement corrective action plans as needed
• Maintain systems for medication error tracking and counseling documentation
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Promote effective communication across interdisciplinary teams
• Drive operational efficiency and high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience required
• Experience in Behavioral Health, emergency psychiatry, inpatient, or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Primary source verification of RN license/registration – Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification – Required
