Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Travel/Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule:

• Shift: Nights – 12 Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours/week (3x12)
• Schedule Includes: Every other weekend and holidays

Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $70 – $80/hour (Travel)

Position Overview:

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Provide emergency nursing care in high-acuity situations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR/EHR systems
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital protocols
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatments
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Attend required training and continuing education programs

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Active Massachusetts RN License (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
• BLS and ACLS Certifications (Required)
• Strong clinical skills including:
  • IV therapy and IV starts
  • Ventilator management
  • Telemetry monitoring
• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior ER Travel Nursing experience
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• De-escalation training/certification
