Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) to join a specialized Cardiac/Step-Down Unit. In this role, you will provide advanced, patient-centered care to individuals with acute and chronic cardiac conditions in a monitored environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, proficiency in cardiac monitoring, and the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to cardiac and step-down patients
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to ECG rhythms and arrhythmias
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Coordinate and implement comprehensive patient care plans
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
• Identify safety risks and implement appropriate preventive measures
• Provide care across diverse patient populations (adolescent to geriatric)
• Support quality improvement initiatives and unit-based goals

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in cardiac, telemetry, or step-down units

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire
