Job Title: Occupational Therapist (Acute Care)

Shift: Day Shift | 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5x8 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
The Occupational Therapist provides acute care rehabilitation services across hospital units, supporting patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions to improve functional independence.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 15–18 months recent OT experience – Required
• Active Georgia Occupational Therapy License – Required
• AHA BLS Certification – Required
• Experience in acute care setting – Required
• Experience with ICU, stroke/neuro, ortho, and general debility patients – Preferred
• Experience with Cerner (One Chart) – Preferred
Responsibilities:
• Evaluate and treat acute care patients per physician orders
• Provide therapy for ICU, stroke, neurological, orthopedic, and general debility cases
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Support patient mobility, ADLs, and functional recovery
• Document treatment progress in Cerner system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital protocols
• Manage caseload across multiple hospital units
