Position: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 15:00)
Job Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Medford, OR

Job Description:

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient facility. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients on their rehabilitation journey, under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in implementing physical therapy treatment plans as directed by a physical therapist.
• Work with patients to help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent disability following injury or surgery.
• Educate patients on techniques for improving strength and endurance.
• Observe patient progress and report feedback to the supervising physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility protocols.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and offer assistance to patients as needed.
• Ensure a clean and safe treatment environment for patients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or first-time traveler with relevant experience.
• Licensure: Current PTA license in the state of Oregon (or pending).
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy procedures and modalities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate and support patients.
  • Experience using EPIC for patient documentation is preferred.
