Job Title: Mammography Technologist
Location: Falmouth, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week | Day Shift

Shift Options:

  • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Occasional weekends and holidays required

Compensation:

  • Pay Rate: $71.90/hr
  • Weekly Gross: $2,876
  • Weekly Stipend: $1,596

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic and screening mammography procedures in compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate imaging while maintaining quality assurance protocols.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and stereotactic procedures
  • Operate mammography equipment and adjust exposure settings for optimal imaging
  • Ensure compliance with MQSA and ACR standards
  • Conduct and document quality control (QC) checks
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain necessary equipment and supplies
  • Review imaging orders and prior reports to ensure accuracy
  • Educate patients on procedures and ensure proper understanding of results process
  • Verify patient identity using proper protocols
  • Evaluate image quality and ensure accurate documentation
  • Coordinate workflow to maintain efficiency and productivity
  • Maintain and manage radiology records

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform DEXA scans (bone density: spine, hip, forearm) as required
  • Monitor and maintain inventory for imaging supplies
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of equipment
  • Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Maintain ongoing competency in patient positioning, scan protocols, and data management

Requirements:

  • Experience in mammography and stereotactic procedures
  • Knowledge of MQSA and ACR guidelines
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and quality control
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
