Job Title: Visual Merchandising Communications Manager (Retail Operations)

Location: Remote (Bolingbrook, IL 60440)
Duration: 16-Week Contract


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Visual Merchandising Communications Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of visual merchandising communications across retail operations. This role will drive consistency in in-store presentation, manage promotional directives, and ensure alignment with brand standards through effective cross-functional collaboration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of visual merchandising communications, including promo planners, signage directives, install guides, and seasonal/holiday communications
  • Manage timelines and ensure timely delivery of communications to field teams
  • Own and maintain the Promo Planner, ensuring alignment across teams and accuracy of content (renderings, SKUs, signage details)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising strategies
  • Review and approve install guides and visual directives to maintain brand consistency
  • Oversee weekly signage requests, ensuring accurate content submission and production tracking via project management tools
  • Manage planogram (POG) exceptions, approving changes and updating documentation accordingly
  • Ensure consistent execution of visual standards across all store locations
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, workflows, and communication strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4+ years in retail or visual merchandising)
  • 5–7 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail marketing, or related field
  • Proven experience in managing merchandising communications and promotional planning
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead meetings and collaborate across multiple teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com or similar platforms
