Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room
Location: Bronxville, NY
Duration: 8 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: Night Shift – 1x12 Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours: 12 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support the Operating Room team in a fast-paced clinical environment. The CST will play a critical role in assisting surgical teams by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are ready for procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for surgical procedures
• Set up operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs
• Ensure proper handling, counting, and sterilization of surgical instruments
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with room turnover between procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Certifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required (NBSTSA or NCCT)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of prior Operating Room experience required
• Strong knowledge of perioperative practices and patient care

Skills

• Excellent understanding of sterile technique and surgical procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills
• Effective communication and organizational abilities

Schedule & Work Conditions

• Night shift, 12-hour schedule
• Rotating weekends required
• Block scheduling not available
