Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Bronx, NY 10467
Duration: 14 Weeks

Shift & Schedule:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• 11.5 hours per shift
• 34.5 hours per week

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process. This role requires strong clinical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery
• Provide direct nursing care to maternal and newborn patients
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed
• Assist physicians and healthcare teams during deliveries
• Perform patient education and support for families
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active New York State RN License
• License verification through NYS Department of Education (NYSED)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
