Location: New York, NY 10037
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
Schedule: 3 shifts/week (11.5 hours per shift)
Hours: 34.5 hours/week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med/Surg unit in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
• Provide direct bedside care to pre-operative and post-operative patients
• Administer and document medications in accordance with physician orders
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and report any adverse reactions promptly
• Operate and adjust medical equipment as needed
• Support discharge planning and patient transitions of care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and documentation
• Follow established nursing standards, protocols, and infection control guidelines

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in:
  • A large acute care hospital setting (preferred), or
  • Post-acute or acute care facility
• Recent experience within the past year required
• Strong clinical skills in:
  • Physical assessment
  • Medication administration
  • IV therapy
  • Wound care & infection control
  • Post-operative care
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient education

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EPIC EMR system

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution

Certifications & Licensure

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS Certification (preferred/required based on unit)
