Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – OB/GYN (Contract)

Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (5x8-Hour) between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Schedule: 40 hours/week (typical 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Floating: Required

Compensation

• Travel Pay: Up to $42.50/hr (inclusive of stipend, based on experience)
• Local Pay: Up to $38/hr (based on experience)

Position Overview

A leading outpatient healthcare provider is seeking an experienced LVN – OB/GYN to support a high-volume clinical team in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires hands-on experience assisting with a variety of gynecological procedures while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist providers with OB/GYN procedures, including:
  PAP smears, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB
  IUD insertions/removals and Nexplanon procedures
  Non-stress tests (NST)
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Record vital signs, perform patient intake, and document medical history
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Perform IV starts and blood draws
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)
• Educate patients on procedures, medications, and follow-up care
• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and compliant with standards
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Float between clinic locations as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Active California LVN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of LVN experience, including 1 year in OB/GYN
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Experience with IV therapy and blood withdrawal
• Hands-on experience with:
  PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB
  IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon
  NST monitoring
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
