Job Title: Cath Lab Technologist (Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Radiology)

Location: Rochester, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Day Shift (07:00 AM – 05:30 PM)
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts (Monday – Friday)
On-Call Requirement: Yes


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to support a high-volume cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology department. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields for procedures
  • Operate and manage cath lab equipment
  • Monitor patients and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
  • Support physicians during procedures such as stent placement, PCI, and angioplasty
  • Perform room circulator and scrub roles as needed
  • Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and radiation protocols

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • ARRT (R) preferred or RCIS accepted
  • Strong experience in cardiac cath lab procedures and sterile techniques

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
  • Left and right heart catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and PTCA
  • Cardiac stent placement and closure devices
  • IABP placement/removal
  • Rotational atherectomy (Rotablator)
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response
  • Equipment setup and procedural support
