Assignment Details

Duration: 8-Week Contract
Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Medical Assistant to support both front and back office operations in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires a balance of patient care, clinical support, and administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient experience.


Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support

  • Greet and room patients in a professional and timely manner
  • Take and accurately document vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
  • Administer vaccines and assist with clinical procedures
  • Conduct EKGs and point-of-care (POC) testing

Front Office Duties

  • Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls
  • Maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems

Back Office & Clinical Assistance

  • Assist providers during examinations and procedures
  • Prepare and stock exam rooms to ensure readiness
  • Support efficient patient flow and clinical operations

Team Collaboration & Patient Experience

  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams
  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered care environment

Health Education & Outreach

  • Support patient education and wellness initiatives
  • Promote preventive care practices
  • Participate in community-focused healthcare activities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (externship not included)
  • 2–3 years of overall clinical experience preferred
  • Proven experience in phlebotomy/venipuncture
  • Experience using EMR systems
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
  • Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail
  • BLS or CPR certification required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Experience in Occupational Health setting
