Shift: Day Shift (5 × 8 hours | 08:00 AM – 03:00 PM | 40 hours/week)


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for an outpatient rehabilitation assignment in Medford, OR. The PTA will work under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to support patients in recovering mobility, improving strength, managing pain, and achieving functional independence.

This opportunity is based in a well-established acute care hospital with a strong and collaborative rehabilitation team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Deliver therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation activities
  • Monitor and document patient progress accurately in Epic EMR
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and recovery strategies
  • Support gait training, mobility assistance, and use of assistive devices
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Communicate patient status and progress to supervising therapists
  • Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, safety protocols, and hospital policies
  • Provide direct 1:1 patient care as required

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Active Oregon PTA license (required)
  • First-time travelers accepted (as applicable to assignment requirements)
  • BLS certification preferred or required by facility
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and patient care principles
  • Ability to follow treatment plans accurately under supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic experience preferred)
