Job Title: Dental Assistant

Job Summary:

The Dental Assistant supports dental providers in delivering high-quality patient care by assisting during procedures, preparing treatment areas, and ensuring a safe and efficient clinical environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready for procedures
  • Assist dentists during procedures, including instrument handling, suctioning, and patient support
  • Prepare and position patients for treatment, ensuring comfort and safety
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Mix and prepare dental materials as needed
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Support dental and medical emergencies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain equipment and manage clinical supplies
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Certifications & Licensure:

  • Dental Assistant certification/registration (as required by state)
  • CPR certification
  • X-ray certification or training

Work Environment: Per-diem role with flexible scheduling across clinical settings
