Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Fortuna, CA
Type: Contract (Travel/Local)
Shift: Day Shift | 07:30 AM – 05:30 PM
Schedule: 4x10 Hours
Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 05/04/2026
Position Overview:
The Medical Assistant supports daily clinical operations, assisting providers and ensuring efficient patient care in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
• Assist providers during exams and procedures
• Record vital signs, patient history, and medical data
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness
• Support patient intake, scheduling, and flow
• Perform basic clinical tasks (injections, EKGs, specimen collection)
• Maintain accurate documentation in EHR
• Provide patient education and support
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols
Qualifications:
• Medical Assistant Certification (CMA/RMA) – Preferred
• Clinical/outpatient experience – Preferred
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Familiarity with EHR systems – Preferred
