Job Title: Azure AI / Foundry Specialist + Copilot Studio
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)

Position Overview

"Navitas Partners, LLC" is seeking a senior-level Azure AI / Copilot Studio Specialist to analyze, stabilize, and modernize an existing large-scale Copilot Studio implementation. This is not a greenfield project—candidates must have hands-on experience optimizing and enhancing complex, production-level deployments.

The current environment includes approximately 600 topics and requires refinement, performance tuning, and extension using Azure AI / Foundry capabilities. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in LLM-based solutions, RAG architectures, and enterprise chatbot optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize an existing Copilot Studio implementation with ~600 topics, including:
  • Identifying redundant or overlapping topics
  • Detecting gaps where generative AI or RAG can improve responses
  • Resolving performance and routing inefficiencies
• Design and implement enhancements using Azure AI / Foundry, such as:
  • Cognitive Search with embeddings
  • Custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions
  • Function/tool calling for advanced reasoning
  • Transitioning static topic flows into grounded generative experiences
• Develop and enhance advanced capabilities:
  • Text summarization
  • Improved query understanding
  • Context retention across multi-turn conversations
  • Multi-step reasoning using orchestration frameworks
• Improve knowledge grounding using modern Azure AI techniques to increase accuracy and control across web and internal data sources
• Deliver a scalable and maintainable Copilot architecture for long-term internal ownership
• Create comprehensive documentation, including:
  • Architecture diagrams
  • Enhancement summaries
  • Troubleshooting and support playbooks

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI / Foundry
• Experience optimizing and supporting enterprise-level chatbot or virtual assistant implementations
• Solid problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience building or integrating LLM-based solutions in Azure
• Hands-on experience with RAG architectures using Cognitive Search (indexing, chunking, enrichment)
• Strong prompt engineering, testing frameworks, and evaluation methodologies
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring internal teams
• Proven ability to work with large-scale conversational AI systems
