Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU

Position Type: Contract (Travel/Local)

Schedule & Shift Details:

• Mid Shift
• 02:00 PM – 02:30 AM
• 3 × 12-hour shifts per week
• Block scheduling available
• Weekend requirement as needed
• No on-call required
• Floating required
• Orientation: 12 hours (Non-billable)

Job Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing post-operative patients across multiple surgical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate post-operative care to patients recovering from anesthesia
• Monitor vital signs, airway status, and level of consciousness
• Manage pain, nausea, and post-surgical complications
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including conscious sedation
• Perform advanced patient monitoring (telemetry, ventilators, etc.)
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and care teams
• Assess readiness for discharge or transfer
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma setting required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong experience with conscious sedation, IV starts, and monitoring equipment
• Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced environments
• Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills
• First-time travelers accepted
