Location: Ithaca, NY
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Assignment Details:

• Shift: Night Shift
• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit at a reputable healthcare facility. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while monitoring cardiac patients and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Monitor telemetry patients and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using electronic medical records
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policies
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• NIHSS (Stroke Scale Certification) required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a similar-sized facility
• Epic EMR experience required
• Ability to work weekends and flexible schedules
• Maximum 7 days of RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed

Patient Ratio:

• 1:5 to 1:6
