RN – Adult Psychiatric (Night Shift)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an adult inpatient psychiatric unit. The RN will provide direct patient care, support acute psychiatric stabilization, and ensure a safe and structured therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for adult psychiatric patients
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses
• Manage and de-escalate behavioral health situations
• Maintain patient safety and unit structure
• Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
• Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Support therapeutic activities and patient education
• Float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as required

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license (Required)
• BLS certification (Required)
• CPI certification (Required)
• Minimum 1–3 years psychiatric nursing experience (Preferred)
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress behavioral health settings
