Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a dedicated Special Education Teacher (Cross-Categorical) to support students with diverse learning needs in a structured academic environment. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction, promoting academic growth, and supporting students’ social and emotional development within inclusive classroom settings.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction in a cross-categorical special education setting
Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic and behavioral records
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
Create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school activities

Required Qualifications

Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
Experience working with students with diverse disabilities

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
Knowledge of cross-categorical special education practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Classroom management and behavioral support expertise
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to individual student needs
