Job Title: Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 32 hours/week (4x8)
Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts)

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and procedural interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia and assess vital signs
• Provide post-operative care and ensure patient stability
• Administer medications, including pain management and sedation reversal agents
• Assess airway, breathing, and circulation (ABC) status
• Identify and respond to complications or adverse reactions
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and facility protocols

Experience Requirements

• Previous PACU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of post-anesthesia recovery and patient monitoring

Education & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required (State of Georgia or compact)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (if applicable)
• Experience with surgical recovery and anesthesia care
