Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Bilingual General Education Teacher for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivers effective instruction in both English and Spanish across general education subjects
• Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with state and district curriculum standards
• Assesses student progress regularly and adapts instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Creates a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive classroom environment
• Collaborates with other teachers, support staff, and administrators to support student success
• Communicates effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
• Maintains accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom activities
• Supports English Language Learners (ELLs) in developing language proficiency alongside academic skills
• Implements classroom management strategies to maintain a productive learning environment
• Participates in staff meetings, professional development, and school initiatives

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification required (or eligibility)
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Previous teaching experience in a general education setting preferred
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
