Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist / Operating Room Tech
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (3x12.5)
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Position Overview

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical teams in a fast-paced operating room environment. The CST will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient surgical procedures by maintaining sterile conditions and assisting surgeons during operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
• Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical equipment
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
• Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies
• Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation for surgery
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Education & Certifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Schedule & Work Details

• Day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• 3 shifts per week (37.5 hours/week)
• Rotating schedule based on surgical department needs
