Job Title: Anesthesia Technologist
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week (5x8)
Shift: Day Shift (Alternating days and evenings)
Additional Requirements: Weekend rotation and on-call responsibilities

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technologist to support anesthesia services across multiple procedural areas. The ideal candidate will assist with room preparation, equipment management, and invasive procedures while ensuring adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating and procedure rooms for anesthesia cases, including invasive procedures
• Perform room turnover efficiently between cases
• Troubleshoot and maintain anesthesia machines and related equipment
• Assist with invasive procedures such as arterial lines, central venous catheter (CVC) placement, and thermodilution catheter placement
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and reprocessing of anesthesia equipment
• Maintain inventory, order supplies, and restock anesthesia carts and rooms
• Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technologist
• Experience with acute cardiac cases required
• Hands-on experience with central lines, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred

Education

• High School Diploma required
• Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program required

Certifications & Licensure

• National ASATT Certification (Anesthesia Technologist) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
