Job Title: CVOR Tech (Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician)
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 11 Weeks

Schedule:

• Rotational weekly shifts (5x8-hour shifts | 40 hours/week)
• Day: 06:45 AM – 03:15 PM
• Mid: 09:30 AM – 06:00 PM
• Evening: 02:45 PM – 11:15 PM
• On-call required (weekdays & up to 2 weekends/month)

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a skilled CVOR Tech to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a high-acuity operating room environment. The role involves assisting in complex cardiac and vascular surgeries while maintaining strict sterile technique and surgical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile field for cardiovascular surgeries
• Assist surgeons during cardiac and vascular procedures
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently
• Ensure proper sterilization and equipment readiness
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and aneurysm repairs
• Maintain accurate specimen handling and labeling
• Follow universal protocol and time-out procedures
• Assist with case setup, turnover, and OR preparation
• Respond effectively in emergency surgical situations
• Collaborate with surgical and interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year CVOR experience required
• Experience in cardiac and vascular surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and OR protocols
• Completion of Surgical Technology program (or equivalent)
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• Experience with CABG, EVAR, TAVR, TEVAR, VAD, ECMO preferred
• Teaching hospital and Level I/III trauma experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Must be willing to work on-call (weekdays, weekends, holidays)
