Schedule: Full-Time | 5x7.5-hour shifts
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Position Overview

A well-established healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry within a Medical/Surgical setting. The RN will be responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, delivering high-quality patient care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment
• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and IV therapy
• Perform IV insertion and assist with phlebotomy procedures
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient documentation
• Respond promptly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

Education Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited program required

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA required
