Job Title: Donor Care Specialist (Phlebotomist) – Travel Laboratory
Location: Hyannis, MA
Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule:

• Rotating Day Shifts (40 hours/week)
• Shift Options: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM / 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM / 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM / 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM / 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Occasional weekends and holidays required

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is a skilled Donor Care Specialist to support a hospital-based blood donor program. The role involves donor screening, blood collection, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards while providing excellent donor care.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, organize, and support blood donors
• Perform donor screening for eligibility (FDA, CDC, AABB, CAP guidelines)
• Conduct whole blood collection and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Perform blood draws for onsite and offsite blood drives
• Prepare, label, and process blood components and donor samples
• Maintain accurate donor records and data entry
• Record donor deferrals and ensure quality compliance
• Assist with donor recruitment and engagement activities
• Perform inventory checks and restock supplies
• Maintain clean and compliant work areas
• Follow safety, hospital, and emergency protocols
• Provide excellent customer service to donors and staff

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Prior phlebotomy experience required (donor collection experience preferred)
• Experience with pint blood collection using 16-gauge needle preferred
• Strong knowledge of donor screening and collection procedures
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer/data entry skills
• BLS certification required
