Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float role. The ideal candidate must be flexible and comfortable floating across multiple units while delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care across multiple units as assigned
• Float between Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Assess patient conditions and develop appropriate care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems
• May assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed

Required Experience & Skills:

• Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum one completed assignment)
• Strong experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Coronary Care experience required
• Ability to work in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience floating across multiple units required

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New York (required)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with MEDITECH charting preferred
