Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM


Job Summary

A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry Unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in telemetry monitoring, IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. This role requires the ability to manage acutely ill patients in a fast-paced hospital environment while delivering safe and compassionate care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical telemetry unit
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings
  • Perform IV insertion and maintenance
  • Conduct phlebotomy (blood draws)
  • Assist with and support conscious sedation procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical changes
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and clinical protocols

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN / ASN) required

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience
  • Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience
  • Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with conscious sedation required

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active New York State RN License (required)
  • AHA BLS Certification (required)
  • AHA ACLS Certification (required)
