Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Las Animas, CO
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 8 Weeks
Hours: 36 hours/week (3x12)
Shift: Flexible (Days/Nights)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a structured clinical setting. This role involves delivering direct patient care, administering medications, assisting providers, and ensuring appropriate treatment and referrals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures
  • Assess and monitor patient conditions, reporting any changes promptly
  • Conduct patient evaluations for illness or injury and coordinate appropriate care or referrals
  • Prepare exam rooms, equipment, and patient lists for clinical visits
  • Manage medication distribution and documentation (including pill call)
  • Perform emergency procedures and notify providers as needed
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Supervise and guide LPNs and unlicensed staff
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external healthcare providers
  • Support care coordination and ensure appropriate use of medical services

Required Education

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Valid driver’s license

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of professional nursing experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Experience in medication administration and patient care coordination
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow regulatory standards
