Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing care in a correctional healthcare setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering patient-centered care, administering treatments, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards while maintaining safety and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver direct patient care
  • Execute provider orders and administer medications as prescribed
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and treatment procedures
  • Conduct sick calls and prepare exam rooms and medical equipment
  • Monitor patient health conditions and respond to medical needs promptly
  • Perform emergency procedures and coordinate care with medical staff
  • Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed healthcare personnel
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential medical records
  • Manage medication administration and documentation (including pill call)
  • Coordinate referrals and treatment with external healthcare providers
  • Monitor hospitalizations and evaluate healthcare service utilization
  • Provide patient education and health counseling
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and controlled substance policies
  • Maintain a safe and secure clinical environment
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and accreditation processes

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma or Degree)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment
