Job Title: Registered Nurse – Pediatrics

Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Work Schedule: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to work in an inpatient biobehavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, high-quality care to pediatric patients with behavioral health needs in an acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an inpatient pediatric behavioral health unit
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support patients and families with education and emotional care
• Float to other pediatric units as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and hospital standards

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact eligibility)
• Minimum of 1.5–2 years of recent acute care experience in a similar setting
• Experience in behavioral health required
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Certifications:

• BLS certification required
