Location: Sonyea, NY 14556

Compensation:

• Local: $2,250/week
• Travel: $2,558.50/week
• Negotiable based on experience

Duration: 26 weeks (extension possible)

Shift & Schedule:

• Day Shift: 06:00 AM – 01:00 PM
• Monday – Friday
• 40 hours per week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a correctional healthcare setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, autonomy, and the ability to maintain professionalism in a structured and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and independent clinical decision-making
• Administer medications and maintain accurate MAR documentation
• Respond to medical emergencies, including Narcan and AED interventions
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Conduct EKGs and initiate IV therapy as needed
• Assist providers with suturing and minor medical procedures
• Follow physician orders accurately and consistently
• Maintain a safe, secure, and controlled clinical environment
• Provide care within a correctional population with professionalism and fairness
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care or critical care experience
• Current BLS and CPR certification
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently in a structured environment
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism
