Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Middle School)
Location: Plainfield, NJ (07060)
Caseload: Approximately 13 students
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday (7:10 AM – 3:30 PM)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students through individualized and inclusive instructional practices. This role focuses on delivering both push-in and pull-out services to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate academic support and achieve success in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Support

• Deliver specialized instruction through both push-in and pull-out models
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the needs of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments

Student Development and Monitoring

• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate documentation related to student performance and compliance requirements
• Support students’ academic, social, and behavioral development

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with school staff, administrators, and support teams to implement effective strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Department of Education Instructional License
• Certification in Middle School Special Education
• Highly Qualified status in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
