Job Title: Special Education Teacher (Middle School)
Location: Plainfield, NJ 07060
Employment Type: Contract (12 Weeks)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (7:10 AM – 3:30 PM)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students through individualized and inclusive instructional practices. This role involves delivering both push-in and pull-out services to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate academic support and achieve success in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Support

• Deliver specialized instruction using push-in and pull-out service models
• Adapt and modify curriculum to meet student needs in alignment with IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments

Student Development & Progress Monitoring

• Track and evaluate student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation for student performance and compliance requirements
• Support academic, social, and behavioral development of students

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with school staff, administrators, and support teams to implement effective interventions
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and evaluations

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Department of Education Instructional Certification
• Certification in Middle School Special Education
• Highly Qualified status in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
